Need biographical information on lithographer, J. Hoegg. Particular interest in "Der Alte Junggeselle Und Sein Freund."

There is no such artist known as the "lithographer J.Hoegg" nor has there ever been. You must be mistaking a lithograph after the work of the German artist Josef Hoegg (1826- ?), a forgotten genre painter from the Düsseldorf School, for a work by his own hand. His work has never appeared at auction, his date of death remains unknown and so does most of his life.

It may not have occurred to you, but we are Dutch here. Your litho, its title and its maker are German and some of us resent to be seen as such. So feel welcome to go to next door and place your brisk order there, no doubt they'll appreciate it.
