I have a painting of him, made in the city Schiedam.
It was bought from hem in 1952 voor the price of 25 guilders.
My mother told me that he had painted all kind of things in a great passengership. I think it was called the New Rotterdam.

The city of Schiedam gave him an assigment to paint old Schiedam and parts of Rotterdam, I remember him very well he was the brother of my grandfather and even married in his 80. My grandfather and he did paint the New Rotterdam inside. Like to hear how your mother knew him.

I bought yesterday a painting (aquarel) of Herman Paradies for dfl. 4000,= viewing the Harbor of Rotterdam or Schiedam ??
On the back site of the frame is a sticker from an auction. Does anybody know how many paintings the made and / or a list of his works. ?
