I have four paintings, approximately 5"x7" signed by artist Herbelot. These paintings are framed with four additional paintings of equal size by another artist signed Janicott. The frame and matt appears to be original for the paintings, from about the 1950's. The paintings appear to be original when examined with a magnifying glass (not lithograph).

I know very little about the artists. They were known for their watercolor street scenes. My paintings are of the various Paris landmarks.

What is the value for these paintings? I am really curious.

could i too be a sucker for these watercolors. I have bought two for 50 bucks each at an antique shop.. cannot find any info at all. I like to believe that mine are originals as they are not numbered

I also have a water color painting by Herbelot and in the lower right corner are the numbers 16/297. I would like some information on the artist and also the value of the painting. Thank you for your time.
