I am interested in information and details on the vandalism performed on Van Gogh's painting "The Nightwatch" approximately 20 years ago. I am writing on behalf of my friend who was in the museum at the time of the crime.
- What happened to the vandalist?
- How serious was the damage to the painting?
- How was it restored?
- Are there pictures of the vandalized painting vs. the restored one?

Ooops!! Silly me, "The Nigthwatch" is by Rembrandt. I really meant to say "The Potatoeaters".
